Lou Schellenberg is an oil painter known for her landscapes of architecture and nature in places like Pennsylvania, Maine, and Nova Scotia. Her artwork is in many collections in the U.S. and Canada and she has completed commissions for institutions such as LL Bean, The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn Medicine.
Growing up in New York and New England, Schellenberg studied at The Boston School of the Museum of Fine Arts and earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at The University at Albany, NY. She has taught art for several decades, retiring as Associate Professor of Art at Elizabethtown College, PA.
Schellenberg is currently a board member of the Mount Gretna School of Art, known for its intensive landscape painting program. She lives and works in Lititz, PA, and a small village in Nova Scotia, Canada.
